As part of a team-building evening at work, we organised a friendly competition, during which teams of two or three editors had to create a trailer for a non-existent Netflix documentary within 2 hours.
The only thing every team received was a few shots of interview footage of a man telling a very generic story. It was up to the teams to pick a theme and find additional footage which would make it look like a full-fledged documentary had been created. I was teamed up with one of our newest editors, and we had a lot of fun creating this trailer in so little time. We ended in second place, but it was great to see all the different interpretations that the teams came up with.
